Meant to add this but it didn't save for some reason

Switching to snow wastes allows for a cool addition. May add a greater snow theme later on with snow basically being a proxy for basics.

Did not realize Triplicate Titan existed but saw it added to the vintage cube on MTGO. Its a Tinker target that also works great with Flash or Sneak Attack. Not quite as resilient as Leviathan but still obviously does really well against removal.

I've been inspired by the Invasion of Alara modern decks I've seen lately to try it out in the cube. We already have Felidar Guardian which works really well with Invasion and now its just a matter of swapping out Trigger Happy for Vampire Hexmage (both of which work with Dark Depths) for the combo. I'm not 100% sold on this given that Invasion really isn't a playable card IMO without Hexmage but definitely worth trying out!

From there I realized that Aminatou works like Felidar Guardian with Invasion and that also Aminatou goes infinite with Felidar plus Altar of the Brood. And then I realized Altar goes infite with a ton of stuff in the cube.

  • Elvish Mystic > Delighted Halfling
    • Extremely obvious swap. Delighted Hafling is strictly better in this cube as a 2 toughness dork and also has some nice upside of making your legends uncounterable.
  • Remand > Reprieve
    • Reprieve is a strictly better remand in this cube as it gets around uncounterable spells (see Delighted Halfling). I considered cutting other counterspells like Daze or Miscalculation and just having 2 remand effects because its a counterspell play style that I enjoy more. But, in the end, I decided its probably more interesting to have the variety.
  • Deep Forest Hermit > Riders of Rohan
    • Riders is a LOTR Commander card that hasn't gotten much notice but its a pretty nasty 5 drop. 8 power across 3 bodies, 4 of which has haste for 5 mana is really nice, plus you have the ability to just make 2 2/2 haste creatures for 6 mana every turn with dash. But, most importantly, its human for the Winota decks.
  • Spectral Procession > Shadow Summoning
    • This was a tough call. I've been feeling like the curve in the cube has been a bit too high so I thought swapping a 3 mana token maker for a 2 mana one made sense. Especially since a lot of the token payoffs are 3 mana.
  • Galazeth Prismari > Aragorn, the Uniter
    • Aragorn just seems like such a sweet card in this cube. No idea if its actaully good, its probably too slow but I had to give it a shot. Galazeth just wasn't as good as I wanted to be. The fact that you couldn't tap artifact token creatures the turn you cast them and that you could only cast instants and sorceries with the mana was just too awkward.
  • Scheming Fence > Orcish Bowmasters
    • This spot has changed around a lot and has always been just a random good value 2 drop that is interesting. Bowmasters has some nice synnergies with the token deck and just seems more powerful than Scheming Fence.
  • Brokers Charm > Flame of Anor
    • I almost missed Flame when first looking at the spoiler because I immediately focused on the Wizard part and didn't pay attention to the fact that this was just a really good charm variant. Compared to Brokers Charm, both have a draw 2, Flame has a better kill spell, and killing and artifact vs. enchantment is kind of a wash. Plus, there are actually 16 wizards in the cube so the Wizard part of this is very real.
  • Memory Jar > The One Ring
    • It appears that The One Ring may be extremely broken. Its not the most interesting card in the world but its super powerful so I think it just makes sense here. Memory Jar was really never very good.
  • Goblin Rabblemaster > Slimefoot and Squee
    • Pretty straightforward swap. I feel like slimefoot is a sweet card, not sure if its actually better than Rabblemaster but it might be and I think its probably at least close. Plus, its definitely a more interesting card.
  • Voldaren Pariah > Knight-Errant of Eos
    • I think Pariah was a nice idea but I'm not sure how actually viable it ever really was. There are discard decks and there are token decks and there are sacrifice decks but I think it was kind of rare that they all came together. Knight-errant slots really nicely into go-wide strategies and seems like a cool card..
  • Wurmcoil Engine > Kogla and Yidaro
    • Wurmcoil Engine has been on my cut list for a while now. Its sort of meant to be a card you can cast that also can be cheated out with things like tinker, shape anew, or Flash but it was kind of just the worst option for all of those plans. I'm not positive that Kogla and Yidara is going to stick but its at least a much better 6 drop to cast and has some cool other utility.
  • Clay Champion > Omnath, Locus of All
    • I haven't had too much chance to play with Clay Champion so I feel a bit bad cutting it but I never really felt like it was much more than solid and Omnath at least is super interesting and flavorful for the cube. I'll definitely need to play with it a bit to see if its actually good but its a cool idea at least.
  • Suspicious Stowaway > Rona, Herald of Invasion
    • Reasonably straight forward switch. I think stoaway might just be better but I'd like to try out Rona. Given how many legends there are in the cube I think it has a chance to be super powerful. I'm considering adding Retraction Helix to combo with it and Mox Amber but if I do, I'll have to find some other cards that combo with Helix to make it worth it.
  • Jodah, Archmage Eternal > Urabrask
    • Jodah is a flavorful card in the cube but I think its always been pretty underpowered. Its a 4 drop that you have to untap with, play a 5th land, and have an expensive card in hand to even be able to get value from. To be fair, Urabrask is also a 4 drop that you usually have to untap with to do anything but its a storm enabler and kill condition and, in that deck, you can sometimes cast it and then go off in the same turn.

Also considered:

I honestly just kind of missed Nahiri when the spoiler came out. I think I saw the word "equipment" and immediately moved on but I actually think Nahiri is a super cool cube card and a nice fit in this cube.
