They enable two-colored aggro decks at a cost, while being a bit too costly for control decks. A beautiful mesh of design and functionality, I absolutely adore this land cycle. * **10 Buddy Lands**: While not as useful for enabling aggro decks on turn 1 as the abovementioned shock lands, they work very well together while being reliable enough in those decks anyway. It is not uncommon to put down an on-color basic land on turn 1, followed by a Buddy Land to cast your 2 MV multicolor cards. * **10 Fast Lands**: If you've read the land descriptions above, it should be clear enough that I think a lot about how to support two-color aggro decks in this format. The fast lands enable this beautifully while still being usable in other deck types. They also help keep greedy mana-bases in check a little in the later stages of a match. * **Mana Confluence, City of Brass, and Fabled Passage**: While the first two cards help aggro decks get going on turn 1, the third card enables slower decks to hit their mana needs on turn 4 and onwards. All of these lands were chosen to help some deck types (mainly aggro decks) while also keeping greedy four- or five-color piles from taking over the format in every draft. So far, my testing has shown that to be the case, and that brings joy to my little designer heart. I hope you enjoy my take on a peasant format. If you have the time for it, give the cube a playtest.
