Initial updates from drafting the cube - 7 players with 3 packs of 15.
Moving the majority of cards to the “maybeboard” so that I can keep track of them. Removing a few that either were outright bad or were just passed around the table and never played.
I’d like to get the cube down to a size for 8 players with some left over for variation on subsequent play throughs.
Added signets to increase ability to cast creatures quicker. Removed some of the "speed" cards to allow those that get shut out from them to cast creatures at a more equal speed.
I need to add more lands in order to help with casting the high cost creatures, so I did!
Some random other changes too.
Removing extras as other colors added dinos. Adding duplicates for JP cards.
Remove cards considered too powerful while adding smaller casting cost spells.
Remove cards deemed too powerful and added more spells on-theme.
Swap out “pain” lands for shock lands so that they can be fetched to speed up play.
Not every swap is a 1:1 but that will be fixed with future updates.
Cleaning up the list for Green in an attempt to balance it out while keeping as many theme-based cards in play.
Purchased some new cards to add, all based on "Dinosaur" lore. Will need to clean up extra cards from list at a future date.
Updating the list of special Lands included with the cube. Adding proxies for dual lands (not putting the real ones in!) and pain lands to help with all of the multicolored card and to promote 2-3 color decks.
Thinning out the list of black cards down to 60. Replacing unwanted with new or "better" cards.
Update white card list to match final selections.
Replacing cards with dinosaurs and trying to get closer to 60.
