I'm an avid cube designer with a particular interest in 180-card cubes for 2-4 drafters. I've been calling them "slices"! I've set up each of them to be drafted in five packs of nine cards each (so the entire cube is 20 packs of nine cards), as I've found this works well for four players.
One serendipitous effect of this form factor is that custom collation becomes surprisingly easy. Each of my slices has a specific pack layout that helps ensure that colors or themes are well-represented across packs. You might still get a pack with (e.g.,) three red cards, but you won't find a pack with no blue cards (or four lands, etc.).
