My relationship to Magic has always involved an appreciation for the aesthetics and emotions of the game. I am intrigued by the moments when gameplay evokes the feelings reflected in a card. Discarding four cards to mind twist; feeling your sanity unravel; blurring the boundaries between the Self and the Not-Self.

Art imitates life imitates art.

This cube strives to achieve fast and interactive gameplay while making concessions to my personal tastes. Games begin on turn one, and you need to have a plan for how to manage aggressive decks. The cube leans fair, but there are opportunities to find cards and interactions that will give you a substantial advantage. The power band is reasonably narrow but there are cards that are power outliers (umezawas jitte, mind twist, fractured identity, uro, etc). Mana bases are very strong, and most decks contain one or two primary colors and an additional one or two splashes.
