If a cube has 6 sides and drafts 8 people, then shouldn't something that drafts 16 people be named after the shape with 12 sides?
This cube began its life as a pile of cards I had in my basement. Playing it got me back into Magic in general, around the time Innistrad came out. Masters sets got me caught up on a lot of things that I missed, so it's not quite as unusual as it used to be. The cube is huge because we like being able to draft two full pods without repacking the Cubamajigs. It gets played multiplayer a lot, which affects the design. The biggest difference that makes is the games tend to go bigger, with more complicated board states. It still plays well one-on-one, though aggro is perhaps a bit under-supported.
