This is a peasant cube designed for my students at school. The goal isn't to be a collection of the best commons and uncommons in Magic history; rather it is meant to showcase the power of synergistic drafting. (And hopefully prepare them to look for and draft less obvious archetypes when drafting other environments.)
It has a few important aspects that make it good teaching tool for that environment. 1) It's designed to have a built-in guide to
drafting. (The multicolor cards all point strongly in the direction of a specific strategy in their colors, and many cards can be
used in multiple decks.) 2) It's relatively cheap so it's not the end of the world if they spill their drink on it. :-P
One thing that I am trying with it is bending the rules of Peasant a bit. It's really hard to find mana fixing that is good for aggressive decks in peasant, so I am including a cycle of 10 rare lands to help support aggro. (Allied color lands are all buddy lands, Enemy color lands are all different with each one supporting the strategy of the color pair.)
My students lost the Eidolon. This swap is a placeholder until it turns up.
