Here, cooking and cubing are one and the same! These shelves are stocked with humble ingredients at first glance, but with the hand of a chef, can be combined to create spicy five-star synergy dishes. Each ingredient averages a price of about $0.35, or the price of one pack of ramen at the supermarket. This budget restriction aims to both highlight the underused flavors from Magic's palate and keep the experience accessible for any chef. There are many Entrees and Sides to choose from, intended to complement each other's strengths. Choose your base, add your ingredients, and keep an eye out for that extra spice!

Design Philosophy

• Power is derived from synergy and card interaction rather than individual strength. Cards at a base level should be simple to moderate in complexity but offer utility in a variety of archetypes and colors.
• Decks are often a hybrid of synergies rather than "on rails" archetypes. This takes the form of base two color decks with a splash of cards that overlap from other colors.
• While synergy is the focus, gameplay is still lean, tempo magic with fair, combat based win conditions. Cards are generally evaluated with the vindicate test in mind, so curves are low-mid.
• The budget restriction aims to both bring some unique and underused cards to the table and be an example that cube can be inclusive, and powerful, even on a tight budget.
• In addition to the budget restriction, this cube will have:
  • No two card infinite combos. - No spoiled ingredients!
  • No flip cards - No hidden ingredients!
  • No planeswalkers - Too many cooks!
  • No large-scale typal archetypes (kinda frogs) - Multiple protein options!
  • No cards with unexplained nonevergreen mechanics. - I'm looking at you Ransom Note!

Entrees

For each color pair, these are the commonly drafted Entrees that are a base. However, dishes often end up as a hybrid of synergies composed of a combination of an Entree(s) and Side(s). Many dishes incorporate the graveyard, artifacts, and/or tokens in some way.
