Nearby Planet
Story
Competing space wizards crash land on a new planet. With only enough tech to build a single escape pod, they fight to the death!
How to start
2 players
Players rotisserie draft the 21 card Spaceship Supplies
pack until they have 7 cards. These 7 cards are your starting hand. The remaining Spaceship Supplies
start in the graveyard.
3 players
Players draft 1 pack of 7 from the 21 card Spaceship Supplies
pack. This leaves each player with 7 cards. These 7 cards are your starting hand.
4+ players
For each additional player, randomly add 7 cards from the 99
to the Spaceship Supplies
. Players draft 1 pack of 7, leaving each player with 7 cards.

Theories
The 21 Spaceship Supplies
are all artifacts and Tron lands. In this mini-meta, cards like Void Mirror and Kill Switch foil the plans of early Hexavus or Traxos, Scourge of Kroog, so consider hate drafts. First picking Tron lands over Mana Vault and Sol Ring can give you advantage going in the 99
. And a well timed Mirage Mirror or Nevinyrrals Disk can quickly change everything.
The 99
card library is built around the knowledge of the specific opening hand cards, and is thus full of 'artifact matters', 'tron support/hate', bombs and clones. Games should be quick with Timmy/Tammy's swings, this is a pick-up format after all.
The 99
is also very aware that most lands on board are going to be City of Brass, and thus dorks and other fixing is extremely good. Color is meaningless in this meta. Colored pips read only as damage you might need to take to cast the spell.
The 99
is also conscious of the shared graveyard, making reanimate and recursion cards extra spicy.
Practice
If you want to get in some practice drafts of the Spaceship Supplies
you can check out Spaceship Supplies - Nearby Planet, which is just the 21 and a custom draft format of 1v1v1

Nearby Planet is now is the glorious and diamond hands of @aibretty !
New lines are being discovered as we speak, new dimensions of the mind, new directions orthogonal to our pitiful reality are being taken, new absurd combinations of profane cardboard that will never be seen again are flashing in and out of existence in a city far from here.
