Welcome to the Graveyard Cube

Number of supported Players: 2 - 8
Size: 360 (Singleton)
Powerlevel: Medium
Format Speed: Medium
Complexity: High

The Graveyard Cube is all about taking advantage of the graveyard. Fill your graveyard and use cards that benefit from it. The following themes are supported:

  • Self-Discard "Madness"
  • Self-Mill "Dredge"
  • Sacrifice "Aristocrats"
  • Spells "Magecraft"
  • Lands
  • Cycling

All these themes are represented in as many colors as possible. Additionally, since they are all graveyard-based, the themes can be easily combined with each other. This provides a great degree of creativity and flexibility during the draft and deckbuilding, as you can easily switch between themes and colors.

Special attention was paid to making the format also work well with small numbers of players, i.e. for draft with 2-4 players or sealed.

Examples

This section contains a list of possibilities of how different 2-color guild decks can look like. This list offers only a small insight and is by no means complete, especially since most subthemes are easily combinable.

The Oblivion Ring + Essence Reliquary combo felt more like a bug than a feature.

I could replace O-Ring with Banishing Light but i think a second wrath is more interesting for slower white decks and it also counteracts the increasing speed of the format a bit.

And it further increases the cycling density which is a much appreciated upside!
