You can play the instant/sorcery portion, exile the creature, and you may cast it later. You can also just play the creature as is. This is the main complex mechanic in this cube. *Party* --- [[!spoils of adventure]] Party is a combination of up to 4 of each wizard, warrior, cleric, and rogue. Changelings can count as any member but only 1 member. This lets the tribes blend together a bit more. *Kicker* --- [[!breath of darigaaz]] Kicker you can pay an additional cost when you play this spell to get an added or extra effect! *Cycling* --- <<[[!compelling argument]][[!2a57191e-58a8-4ba9-8b5d-5a4e5a08b404]]>> Cycling just means you can discard this card from your hand to draw a card. Landcycling let's you grab a land of the specified type instead! *Champion* --- [[!changeling titan]] Champion is where you exile a creature of the specified type as you play this spell. When the creature is removed from play the exiled creature returns to play. *Transform* --- <<[[!Scorned villager]][[!mysterious tome]]>> Transform is a keyword action and means to turn a double-faced card on the back side, changing the card face that is visible. Effectively transforming your current card to the card on the back side. # Featured archetypes: --- - Tempo - Mill - Turbo fog - Token go wide decks - +1/+1 Counters - Draw matters - life gain # *Tribal signposts:* --- - party matters - knights - humans - goblins - faeries - wolves - elves # Tokens: --- - *White:* Knights - *Blue:* Faeries - *Black:* Goblin Rogues - *Red:* Goblins - *Green:* Wolves, Elves - *Colorless:* Food # Cube Goals: --- - Usual draft format(3 x 15 for up to 8 people)(pancake for 2) Games should be a bit on the slower side focusing on incremental advantage. The gameplay should be simple and clean focused around tribes. - Several 1 off mechanics are fine, but they have to have reminder text so it's new player friendly. - The cube is intended to be played by players at any skill level. It should reward skilled players while not oppressing newer players. - It's a heavy flavor focused cube based around Folklore, Fairy tales, and "modern" story telling tropes/worlds. - Signposts are more centered around how the tribes/themes interact rather than just guild signposts. - token diversity should be low. (under 10 kinds of tokens.) # Notes: --- - Aggro, while supported, isn't going to be the strongest archetype in this cube. Midrangey value decks should be the dominate strategies. - Tribal should be incidental with self contained cards (see [[Aryel, Knight of Windgrace]], [[Sling-Gang Lieutenant]], [[imperious perfect]], and etc.) - The fixing should be slow like the format even though 3 color cards are included. - graveyard shenanigans are kept very light in this cube. - removal won't be premium.
