Aven Skirmisher --> Suntail Hawk -- [Healer's Hawk] got reminder text, bumping Suntail Hawk down to Vanilla, which in turn bumps reminderless Aven Skirmisher out of the cube entirely.
Jasmine Boreal --> Jasmine Boreal of the Seven -- Clearly breaking the rules of the cube to uphold the theme of the cube, fun that it's Jasmine for Jasmine!
The power is doubled.
The toughness is doubled.
25 years of power creep!
Wishing there was a sorcery Naturalize. Atraxa's Fall is pretty close, but battle, ugh.
Traveling Philosopher --> Emerge from the Cocoon -- Traveling Philosopher was redundant, Emerge from the Cocoon is a nice complement to Resurrection. I am coming to embrace the life gain rider.
Raptor Companion --> Eriette's Lullaby -- Lots of 3/1s for 1W, Lullaby gives white solid removal.
Commune with Evil -- Close but a little wordy.
Cathartic Parting -- Green is hurting for Naturalize effects. May reconsider.
Continuing to add more sorceries! Hopefully it's increasing depth more than complexity. A lot of the new cards are coming out of the French Vanilla Cube where they were in some cases underpowered. The creatures are A) either the worst p/t ratio at a given mana value or B) my least favorite, of a functional reprint of p/t/mv from a flavor standpoint.
Curio Vendor --> Switcheroo -- Switcheroo is fun and grokable.
Bonebreaker Giant --> Doublecast -- Wish it didn't say "instant" but oh well, we're rolling with it!
Cliffhaven Sell-Sword --> Solemn Offering -- Wish there was a sorcery version of Disenchant but oh well, we're rolling with it!
Shrivel --> Nausea -- Shrivel and Nausea swapped cubes. I like the more playful printing in the Vanilla Cube.
Barony Vampire --> Sovereign's Bite -- Bite was the bottom of the barrel for the French Vanilla Cube as it didn't affect the board. Pairs nicely with the other cards in the Vanilla Cube that only gain life.
Rotting Fensnake --> Diabolic Tutor -- I've added tutors to the other colors (except red), felt like I should round things out.
Regathan Firecat --> Roast -- Spicy!
Tolarian Scholar --> Void Snare -- Worried this one is too wordy.
Feral Maaka --> Pyroclasm -- Nearly 60% of the creatures in the cube die to Pyroclasm, get wrecked!
Not exactly a diverse set of targets to hit, but it gets the idea of a tutor across.
Whiptail Wurm --> Hunt Down -- Hunt Down is a little wordy, but it gives green more interaction and is its first noncreature spell that costs 1. Whiptail Wurm was the wurst of the 7 mana creatures.
Axebane Beast --> Stalking Tiger -- Inverse menace? I wonder if they will ever keyword this ability. The beast felt like it could be sacrificed.
Vengeance --> Open the Armory -- Open the Armory gives white a tutor, fun! The fact that auras and equipment are the main kind of enchantment (only) and artifacts in the cube feels like a win.
Hulking Goblin --> Goblin Brigand -- Diversify
Goblin Bully --> Crazed Goblin -- Diversify
Kyren Glider --> Utvara Scalper -- Diversify
Fighting Drake --> Captivating Gyre -- Pulled Gyre down from the French Vanilla Cube. Powerful spell that gives blue a bit of a top end. Drake gums up the board.
Updraft Elemental --> Solve the Equation -- I wish Solve the Equation didn't say "instant", but hey, it may lead to a question from a new player. Personal Tutor is also on the bubble here. The elemental was also gummy.
Broodhunter Wurm --> Prized Unicorn -- Unicorn is pushing complexity but helps break stalemates. Wurm gets the cut instead of the pig.
Scion of Ugin --> Breaker of Armies -- Splashy on-theme Eldrazi? Don't mind if I do!
Forest Bear --> Taunting Elf -- Lots of, well, bears. Elf mixes things up.
Torch Gauntlet --> Nemesis Mask -- Mask is the wordiest equipment, Gauntlet was functionally redudant.
Craw Wurm --> Lure -- Green is desperate for noncreature spells, Craw Wurm was the worst of the 6 mana value.
