duskmourne update

Mostly standard swaps, taking out some underperforming cards and putting in new cards that will underperform.

This update is perhaps the start of a sea change though. We're going to be scaling back the budget requirements a little bit. We're not going crazy here, but instead of a mostly strict 2 buck limit there will be times when we go up to the 5-6 dollar range for cards which significantly reinforce archetypes or offer uniquely fun play patterns.

For instance UW has been conceived as a tempo deck, but there wasn't much to actually pull you into that color pair so Reflector Mage and Spell Queller have been added to make the color pair a more appealing option instead of just something you end up in.

That said, the tempo experiment might just be doomed and it's possible that archetype transforms into something more traditional like control. time will tell.

The addition of balance also makes us want to consider adding the 2 mana rocks back in as we would like to get our colorless count higher. Ideally this would mean cutting a multicolor card from each of the color pairs, but we only have 5 mana rocks and 10 color pairs and we don't have an additional 5 colorless cards to add yet. Maybe this could be Dr Who talismans, but it remains unclear on how we're going to treat unique art for universes beyond though I'd lean towards "sparingly"

The hard part is done. All the cards are entered, but not for long. I'm awaiting several packages that will include updates from MH3, Assassin's Creed, and Bloomburrow as well as stragglers from past sets that I haven't been able to get a hold of until now.

The main thing I'm going to be focused on near term is dropping out some of the less powerful cards for better alternatives. That process is going to happen naturally anyway, so it's not a huge burden.

Longer term is figuring out what to do with UW and RB. Both lack a clear focus and could use some cool synergy stuff. The previous version of the cube had sacrifice for RB but I ended up having to include a lot of dorky cards that didn't go in any other deck just to make the archetype functional. Treasures is a possible path, as is graveyard stuff. It's something to keep an eye on.

UW plays fine, but could use a better identity, so hopefully that materializes over the next few sets.
