Also considering Isareth the Awakener and Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, but I think they are both a little too win-more to come in.
Most of the others are general improvements to archetypes I already have or slightly cheaper/better cards overall compared to their forbears.
Might also go through again and get a set of new paintjobs, seems like the set has a lot of alt-art stuff for staples that I haven't previously juiced.
One more artifact creature for modular in Swooping Lookout
One more recycling creature instead of Crypt Rats, which everyone hates
Trying out some other black spells with slightly worse effects but cheaper MVs
Remove most of the 3 color SNC stuff, making some mostly self-explanatory replacements.
Adding a little more support for blink, Madu sac combinations, and goblins.
Adding a few cards beyond the normal 360 to try out some 3 color cards for a few drafts. It'll all probably get reverted (except may 1 or 2 cards) with the next set, but we can play a few drafts this way.
Also all the gainlands are the 2XY T: Draw a card lands from SNC now, but I don't want to make the relevant customs. Pretend.
Removing some of the flip-lands and the UW fliers matter stuff because it is getting repetitive. Some more small NEO tests and a switch of 2 reanimate pieces from big to small.
Finally moving to try out a little Modular RW artifact thing. Might end up totally reverting it because it's not supportable still, but all the artifacts in NEO made me want to try.
Outside of RW mostly just like-for-like upgrades/sidegrades to get in some new cards and pull out the oldest stuff.
9-10 little changes or upgrades from MID, mostly just power level replacements and updating some underperformers.
Changing from various worse removal in white to better versions (if a little more boring and less varied)
Little more support in G, B, and U for reanimating.
Some changes in green to pull down MVs.
Testing Plumb and Rite of Oblivion they might not have enough support.
Some general upgrades and even more equipment stuff in Boros
Lots of MH2 adds.
Also including some larger overall changes to Selesnya from token focus to more counter focus. Tokens was a fine deck, but they didn't work as well with other colors, hopefully this will improve the GR and GU decks without making GW decks worse. Some of the white token cards (like Prava and some of the more borderline token making spells) are now subject to removal for better counter things.
It does hurt the Mardu/Jund sac decks, so I'll be watching to see if those veer towards more standard value piles or mostly disappear.
Also on the watchlist is switching UW over to some focus more on flickering instead of fliers because the crappy little fliers deck is strong and one person in the group hates it.
Not much from STX in the way of big changes, just some small shuffling around.
Killian is still a meh Orzhov card, but the payoff for double-spelling with Firja was too small.
Generally boosting black removal back up and (re?) adding Path which wasn't in this list somehow.
Making some small changes and adding a new cycle of lands before going through changes for STX, MH2, and AFR.
Fixing was just generally so good in the 'normal' cube and so bad in this cube that it makes us dislike some games in peasant. Changing the 4 current land cycles out for double fetch, shocks, triomes or something is on the table because it's just so much more interesting when you have good mana.
Other changes are some random red swaps to enable a pants deck a little more and a bunch of swaps for premium versions of cards already in the list.
Few more changes:
Switching out some stuff for a little bit of Boros equipment support.
Few more black changes pushing towards control and aristocrats stuff.
Taking out Falkenrath Noble for now because that deck getting 4 possible drain outlets in mono-black was too many.
Back up the 3 guild cards. The Simic one sucks, but I had an alt art laying around and it's... fine until I find something else I like more.
Changing out some 1/1 flyer tokens because there are a few too many of them in the cube and the answers are a little too narrow/specific.
Small green ramp changes and testing out another IKO addition as ramp/reanimate endgame.
These are most of the permanent changes after testing with ZNR cards and most of the testing I've been doing with KHM. Still feeling happy with the sets of MDFC lands so they are going to stay in for now, but we'll probably look to cut them for another similarly sized theme from some future set.
Other general color-by-color notes:
Got a bunch of foils and changed them out, this is the first of a few updates to get this list to match the actually current play list and get the actual list back down to 360 since it's ballooned with random tests from the last few sets:
