After thorough playtesting we have the first big update to the Cube.
The Winner Asger got to make a change and ordered Treachery in the cube.
The Knights (white/black/order) are clearly too low power level now. They were not being picked highly. The playgroup is not going all in on MonoRed aggro either, so cards like Flunkies are too 1-dimensional.
Fecundity was mean't to support the sac theme in BlackRed, but was wheeling around, and since it's off color makes sense to cut.
Breath of Life was cut, to make way for more re-animation in the primary color Black. Here the Necromancer is much better, as he functions with synergy in the Black archetype (SyrKonrad etc.).
Teshar was not being favored, people didn't know the card, and it does not feel like an oldschool card.
Akroma is added to get more wrath's and is also just great. Graveborn muse is good for the mono black deck.
Ancient Hydra leads red a bit more controllish / midrangy, but functions well with the ETB theme they can get going.
Helm of Awakening was added for Storm synergy, but was not prioritized, so I think another value artifact for that strategy in form of Brainstone suits the Cube better.
Mobilization is 2nd Sacred Mesa, and works both in Control Shell and Enchantment theme.
Multani was not being picked, and people were asking for payoffs to the re-animator decks, that is not just going to get killed. So they got Penumbra Wurm, that also functions well in the "cheat creatures into play"-strategy.
