The goal of this cube/battlebox is to be able to:
-pull it out of a box,
-loosely shuffle,
-split it into four piles (or just all draw from the same pile, irrelevant as there are no tutors, fetches, or mill to speak of),
-have each player cascade until they hit a commander to join a sol ring in their command zone (all commanders are foil and non-commanders are non-foil),
-draw seven, and
-play commander.
This setup will take less time than setup for a game like Uno, as you don't even have to deal out cards.
To enable this instant gameplay, 100 of the 240 cards are mana-producing lands, leaving an average of 25 lands out of 60 cards to each deck. Additionally, each player will be given a sol ring to start the game in the command zone to streamline the decks.
The land design forces players to make decisions regarding which colors they want to lean into throughout the draft, adding significant depth and complexity. There are plenty of looting effects to help players get rid of unwanted double and triple-pip cards in their off colors, and players can cycle some of the lands in the color(s) they don't need late game as well.
Additionally, 8 wheel effects (including 4 wheels and 4 time twisters) are included to spice things up. Trust me, this is the best part!
This cube feels like a whole new game. It almost plays like a game of Uno or something, but if Uno were satisfying EDH!
