450ish cards, Unpowered, Custom Cards

Archetype Breakdown

A few design goals:

No combo

There's synergy of course (what is drafting without it), but nothing you'd consider a traditional combo deck where once two-three cards are on the board/stack you win the game.

High agency

Manafixing is plentiful and powerful, drafters should feel comfortable playing 2 colors and a splash, with the possibility of more.
1 MV cantrips are plentiful and notably spread across all 5 colors. Yes even white. Sometimes you draw your cards in the wrong order, and tools to place that partially in your hands are -in my opinion- core to good games of magic.
Most of my customs are based on existing cards. If I like some of what a card's doing, I can excise the parts I don't like and keep the rest. I can also build on underexplored ideas, or ideas that wouldn't make sense in the wider magic environment.

Even Representation

From the primer images above, you can see the more overt deck suggestions. It's not all Shards and it's not all Wedges, but the colors are all represented evenly.

The goal (and I admit this is more successful with some archetypes than others) is that drafters should be able to build a 2 color synergy deck in any of these archetypes, or a 3 color version.
So for eg, as ubg is the Delirium archetype, bg, ub, ug, and of course ubg Delirium should be draftable, viable decks.

I've been on the Riptide Lab forums since 2013, and it's a good time.
I do have a cube thread over there as well, even if I don't post in my specific thread as often as I should. You can see my design process and history of this cube there: http://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/the-dandy-cube-chris-taylors-cube.61/
