Welcome

Thank you for checking out my cube. The archetypes are focussed within the guilds and shards. Mono-coloured decks are also represented. Splashing shouldn't be to hard since there is enough land support. I'll be introducing some major decks in this cube, highlighting some key cards for the strategies.

Aggro w/r

There should be enough 1 into 2 drops to facilitate a go face strategy in W and R. Though strong disruptive effects like Thalia, guardian of thraben to get you through the midgame are not available in peasant, luckily the format is slower. There is plenty of burn to give some reach and combining W&R is a solid option. Even splashing into G or B to give bigger bodies and removal is not a bad choice.

Control wubrg

Control is represented in all 5 colours, centralised around WUB, giving access to very strong effects. It is slow since all the multi-coloured lands come tapped into play and the archetype is colour-hungry by design.

Big Green g

A staple for me in cube. Start small, win big. Splashing some B or R is also great since these colours have strong options for the mid and late game.

Flyers wu

Tempo oriented with a descent clock. Building your board and protecting it, chipping away at life points every turn. Classic gameplay.

Mill ub

One of the stronger decks and therefor highly contested during draft, mill feels like drafting storm in vintage cube. This makes it somewhat parasitic and therefor in check. UB has the most pieces to make a well rounded build with; removal, mill and permission but Mono U is also viable.

Counters wg/bg

While WG is focussed on big creatures going into the red zone. BG uses it's counters to kill and shrink the opponents creatures, playing more the midrange/control game. There are several ways to proliferate, viable for both strategies.

Mono Black b

Strong board presence, good removal and a lot of disruption. One of my favourite decks to draft in this cube.

Spellslinger ur

This deck is fast passed. Looking for short games with burn, permission and cheap efficient creatures.

Aristocrats/Sacrifice wb/br/brg

It can be build in many forms. Being a midrange strategy, focussing on the long game, eventually generating incremental value overtime. Fun for brewing.

Lands matter urg

While using G for the setup, the synergy of this deck comes from the guilds. Animating lands, together with big creatures and strong spells through big mana is what makes it all come together. Although a minor archetype, it's a nice add-on to a controlling strategy.

Tribal ur/b

The supported tribes in this cube are Wizards and Zombies/Vampires. The wizards tribe can be splashed into the spellslinger archetype for extra value. While the zombies and vampires are there to boost the Mono-B decks. Most cards are great on their own still, with some cards buffing and rewarding the given tribe.

These are some of the decks that can be drafted from this cube, I've tried my best to give a general feeling of what the cube tries to achieve. There are still many smaller archetypes to be found though, so check out the list if you feel like it!
