The Sol Cube is a singleton-powered vintage cube that showcases Magic's most powerful cards in their most beautiful printings.
This Cube eschews perfect color balance to curate a power-maximized environment - enticing players to craft game-winning lines of play quickly. Fast mana is abundant.
Cube size is small; 360 cards are draftable in 3x15 card packs. All cards will be seen and all archetypes will be available for each draft.
Moat, Iona, Opposition, Channel, Bribery, Hexdrinker, True-Name Nemesis, Mind Twist, Hullbreacher, the Swords cycle (because of protection), all cards with initiative, and most cards with external game tracking markers (day/night, the ring, speed/max speed, venture into the dungeon, etc).
The play patterns of these cards do not fit with my goals (i.e. play patterns are un-fun, prevent you from playing the game, or are unnecessarily complex).
If you're really bored, here is my Linktree
Removing cards that don't see much play, as well as Despise and Cryptic Command for readability.
Let's do something about Gaea's Cradle, Tolarian Academy, and Mishra's Worshop, shall we?
I like being able to deal with an indestructible Kaldra Compleat or Blightsteel Colossus
Cryptic Command is just not quite what it used to be. Plus I have the Invocation Version which is hard to read.
Sphinx is also not holding its own anymore. Let's draw 4 cards at instant speed.
Terese Nielson's signature obscures the text on Despise. I love a good Bob effect.
These man-lands just aren't hanging anymore. Lets add in a couple more artifact payoffs.
