The goal of this cube is to create an experience 1/2way between retail limited draft, and a legacy cube. This cube is primarily an Artisan (peasant) cube, but with 100 'seed' rares (dragons) that work like signpost uncommons do in regular draft. Not all of the rares directly support one of the ten color-pair archetypes, for the same reason that draft sets have uncommons that are just generically powerful, or signal 1-card build-arounds.

I've included archetypes that I think are fun, but I've also included a lot of peasant cube all-stars, to preserve the balance between limited and cube, and to make it harder to just get on rails. The successful drafter will be one who makes difficult choices between synergy and power.
THE L-NOTE DRAFT VARIANT:
One of the 2 ways this cube was designed to be played was Budget-Rotisserie. A normal roto draft, but where your final deck must come in under 50USD. The cube has 6 Rotisserie-only cards that I haven't entered here. They are: Birthing Pod, Ranger-Captain of Eos, Manaform Hellkite, Mystic Forge, Time Warp, and Tinybones.
This cube was born out of a couple experiences. The first is that the MTGO Artisan cube is super fun. The 2nd was a format my buddies tried out a couple times called L-Note where the decks had to cost less than $50. It was great, but starting a new constructed format isn't exactly going to catch on.
