SCOOTLAND's EDH Cube (ON HIATUS)

This is my attempt at a 4 player commander cube, heavily based on Dan's Commander/EDH Cube with my own twists. It started out as a collection of random cards I had on hand and some broken-apart EDH decks and is now my main MTG project. This cube aims to emulate my favourite aspects of my two favourite formats, Limited & EDH.

  • Basics are the only thing guaranteed, everything else must be drafted; sometimes you have to play with the jank you got. However, to avoid the potential of someone not having a commander, there are 3 legendaries seeded into each pack and Prismatic Pipers will be available after the draft for those who absolutely need them.
  • There are a few commander staples, Rhystic Study, Arcane Signet, Command Tower etc. but I tried to avoid some of the staples that I personally found unfun or required the cube to include multiple of to balance it. For example, there is no Sol Ring.
  • Combos exist but are usually 3 cards or more and are not overly common or oppressive.
  • The cube contains a few conspiracy cards to make drafting a bit more interesting.
  • Ideal draft pod size is 8 as it allows all cards in the cube to be drafted. Cards are in here to be played, they will be played... unless they are in the sideboard.

Rules Overview
  • Draft 3 packs of 20 with 3 legendaries seeded in each pack
  • Draft 2 cards per pick
  • Standard commander rules (Commander colour identity, Commander damage 21 and 40 starting life total)
  • First Mulligan is Free
  • 60 card deck including commander
  • 20-25 lands recommended
  • All mono coloured legendaries have "Partner"

Lore Seeker (Temporarily Removed)

Lore Seeker is included as a way of varying the play experience between drafts.
