Welcome to the Sci-Fi Cube! Here, artifice is ubiquitous and There Are No Green Cards to be found—if you've ever seen Wall-E, it shouldn't be hard to imagine why. That said, there are still a few sneaky nongreen cards that use green mana! (You Can Still Play Basic Forests.)
Note that Packs Are 13 Cards Each. It's easy to make playables with so many colorless cards in the environment, and it's already too easy to make ~23 playables in cube when 45 cards are drafted! Alas, that's a spiel for another time.
As opposed to rigid archetypes, color pairs are intended to be flexible and capable of supporting multiple strategies. If you're seeking direction, they can be characterized by these loose roles: red and white lean aggressive, black tends to be midrange, and blue is typically controlling. Additionally, the cube features subthemes that should feel incidental rather than mandatory (e.g. Food/lifegain in WB, Blood/vampires in BR).
Generally, the most broken artifacts—such as Sol Ring and Skullclamp—are absent from this cube. Cards that generate Karnstructs also proved too powerful for this environment, as did similar effects like Cranial Plating and Nettlecyst.
The crown jewel of this cube is the Krark-Clan Ironworks combo deck. Although this cube is singleton, there's quite a bit of redundancy for this deck, but it isn't for the faint of heart. I'd recommend checking out this video to learn about the combo. Also, look out for Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle as another Scrap Trawler effect!
Enjoy the cube!
