ABUR: Remastered
The idea for this cube comes from a desire to make a limited environment out of the cards that started it all: Alpha / Beta / Unlimited/ Revised!
The cube is actually more of a set simulator in that it has 9x each common, 3x each uncommon, 2x each rare, and 1x each mythic and is meant to be drafted in "booster packs" of 1 rare, 3 uncommon, and 8 commons each. There is also a special rarity slot for the horrendously powerful/bad cards that functions similarly to the time-shifted rarity in Time Spiral, of which there are 2 in each pack. It is not just a limited simulator for ABUR, however, because that would be awful.
Instead, it is a tweaked ABUR in the same vein as what Wizards did for Tempest: Remastered; it shifts many cards around in rarity in order to try to make the limited environment more enjoyable. For example, Verduran Enchantress and Fungusaur are now common and not a rare, whereas Lightning Bolt and Fireball got moved up in rarity to uncommon and rare, respectively. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
This cube is played using the modern oracle text and Magic rules with one exception - manaburn is in place while playing with this cube, as too many of the older cards it contains rely on it existing to function properly.
