This is a cube of all the cards that had been Standard-legal under the pre-F.I.R.E. design philosophy at Wizards of the Coast from Battle for Zendikar through Core Set 2019 to tamp the power level down for expansion & core sets to facilitate a more "Standard" experience.

This nostalgia format is in explicit reference to Premodern as it relates to Modern, in light of F.I.R.E.'s power-creep c. War of the Spark.

I've started out with a maybeboard banlist of all the cards that had been banned during Standard in that time-frame, but of course with the entire pool open to deckbuilding--and I do encourage Constructed play out of this Cube, although of course it can be played Limited as well, or any kitchen-table formats you like--a banlist could look different.
