This is a moderately new cube!

Design goals:

  • be an exposé of cool artifacts throughout magics history that you may not otherwise see in other cubes
  • provide relatively balanced and competitive gameplay with an emphasis on interaction, agency, and skill expression
  • afford players agency and efficient resource use through activated abilities (mostly done as a thought experiment)

Color pair design goals are as follows:
wu azorius - flicker / affinity - flicker your creatures and artifacts for value
ub dimir - artifact control
Control your opponent with spells and artifacts
br rakdos - sacrifice triggers
sacrifice your artifacts, treasures, and creatures for maximal value
gr grull - landfall / sacrifice
it takes moneylands to make moneylands
wg selesnya - equipment / landfall
midgame bruisers, carry a bigger stick
wb orzhov - aristocrats / recursion
sacrifice your stuff for payoffs, get it back from the graveyard and do it again
ru izzet - artifact tokens
use spells to create artifact tokens, sac those tokens to kill your opponent
bg golgari - graveyard/death matters
fill the graveyard, bring it back for round two
rw boros - equipment / aggro
be aggressive with equipment. to arms!
gu simic - clues / landfall
outvalue your opponent with clues and creatures

Rulings/Errata:
You may only have at most one conspiracy in your deck. Note: conspiracies don't count towards your minimum deck size

Resolute Technique has been modified to target any creature, not just warriors.

Simic and Golgari signets are borderposts

Leonin Shikari now has flash

If you draft Urza's tower, you get one copy of each [tower, mine, plant].

No Free Mulls!
Generally in my playgroup we would allow one free mulligan but I'm trying out no free mulligans this time around. Hopefully this leads to more interesting gameplay decisions while assuming the added risk of having a disadvantage due to variance.
