A bunch of alright cards doing alright things. Nothing is exciting, everything is playable.
This is a stab at a budget cube, where almost every card is less than a dollar, that still has powerful-feeling gameplay, tense games, and a fun draft. In general, I prioritized cards which were simply extremely efficient on their own, rather than trying to create powerful synergies. There is synergy which pervades each color, but each individual card is meant to feel good to play in isolation.
Cube design heavily incentivizes fewer colors. Cards have heavy color requirements, devotion is present in every color to some extent, and there is less fixing than you would often expect in a cube this size. All "multicolored" cards are hybrid as a way to give some versatility to playing single colors.
Archetypes include:
Mono White Aggro
Mono Blue Value
Mono Black Reanimator
Mono Red Discard
Mono Green +1/+1 Counters
These archetypes are very loose, more general synergies which naturally emerge. The most striking difference in the colors is speed - Red and White are fast, Black and Green are slightly slower, and Blue is focused on a long game. Legion Angel and Growth-Chamber Guardian are the most direct synergy the cube has, both being reasonably efficient with 1 and quite powerful with any more than that. 4 of each are included so that 2 players can potentially use 2, and to make more likely one is going around at any given time.
