Welcome to my Pauper Commander Cube! I sought to create a budget-friendly limited environment that's easy to pick up but challenging to master, based around Magic's best format. Synergy is king here, players are rewarded for taking high-ceiling cards that combined with their chosen commander make decks much more than the sum of their parts.
: Commanders are drafted first in 1 pack of 10
: 60 card decks are drafted in 3 packs of 20
: All commanders have "Choose a Background" and all mono-colored commanders have "Partner", allowing you to have two commanders as long as one of them is a background or both of them are mono-colored
: Color identity of your commander(s) only determines which basic lands may be used, allowing players to splash if they pick up enough fixing
: Games follow pauper commander rules, life totals start at 25 with 21 commander damage
Recur enter-the-battlefield effects for fun and value or adopt a more proactive approach and soar over your opponent with flyers
Get in with evasive creatures that grant card and tempo advantage when they connect or pick up some zombies for a tribal subtheme
Kill and burn your way through your opponent's board while your commander keeps the pressure on until the killing blow
Stack as much power on the board as possible, either spread across your beaters or all in for a commander damage win
Build your team tall and wide to create impenetrable board states. Powerful auras in these colors also enable an enchantress subtheme
