Cloned from Burninating the Peasants - FIRE-Era Peasant Bar Cube
Hello, and welcome to a peasant cube! This cube is designed for two or four players, and consists of only commons and uncommons from standard sets released after War of the Spark. This is an attempt to capture some of the highlights of "draft chaff" from the FIRE era of Magic design, giving cards that (largely) don't have a home in constructed play but were all-stars (or at least solid) in their home limited environments. As this is a Bar Cube, there are no tokens, counters, or sleeves, meaning there are no double-faced cards, and several cards that create tokens have sharpie errata.
Though each two-color pair has a "theme," I find that I enjoy draft environments that feature a lot of ability to fix mana and splash or run a third color. There are 20 lands in the 180 slots, as well as some other green and colorless mana fixing options. You may end up in a GW enchantments deck that splashes blue, or a BR aggro deck that would like some green recursion, and so on.
Four players are each dealt seven card hands at a time, and take cards in order until six packs have been drafted. Two player drafts are a work in progress, but I currently favor the idea of a Housman draft.
