This is a four-color cube with no green cards. There's not a super principled reason for this -- it just began life as a Grixis cube because that was easier to build, and then I decided to add white, and I haven't gotten around to adding green yet.

Play notes:

  • The DMU taplands (Sacred Peaks, Idyllic Beachfront, etc) have the word "tapped" whited out. They enter the battlefield untapped.
    • They are therefore effectively the original dual lands with different names.
    • There are no other cards in the cube that have their text adjusted in this way.
  • There are two proxied Alchemy cards. Due to paper limitations, there are some theoretical differences between how they play here and how they are implemented in Arena, although these seldom matter in practice:
    • Oracle of the Alpha
      • I have two sets of Power 9 (they are proxied, I am not psychotic), so the first time the Oracle enters play, you'll shuffle one set in. If you trigger its ETB again, you'll shuffle in the second set. After that there aren't any left, so triggering it a third time won't do anything.
      • Remember to take the power out of your deck after each game.
    • The Hourglass Coven
      • I have one proxied set of hags. When resolving this card's ETB, shuffle the pile of hags, look at the top 3, pick one to put into play, then repeat. This means that you can't get duplicate hags in this cube, while you can in Arena.
      • Remember, the hags are NOT tokens!
      • If the hags get into your deck somehow, remember to take them out after each game.
