Sup nerds? Names Fear, and I have spent 6 days straight working on and balancing out a cube with a unique play-style so strange and fun you'd wish you had 16 players! This is a Common-only budget cube that costs just shy of $130 for 800 cards! It includes nearly every strategy you could think of in a randomly distributed manner. Each deck will be diverse and dynamic. And you'll never play the same deck twice!
The way this cube is drafted has some special rules to it. They are:
º Each player is given 2 Cogwork Librarian cards at the start, before packs are picked or distributed. The Cogworks can only be used in the current pod the players are in.
º Each player is given 4 packs of 12. This gives each player 48 cards and 4 first picks.
º Every player drafts in pods of 4. However, they may opt to draft in one large pod, instead for maximum chaos in their decks. They must decide all at once.
º Players play in 1v1 format, 1v1v1v1 format, or 2v2 teams in a Best of 3. Teams are decided by players. Each match up is randomly decided. 1v1v1v1 and 2v2 matches have their turns randomly decided by die roll, rather than clockwise.
º Winners are decided by which player has the most wins. Any ties are determined in a Best of 1 match. In 2v2 teams, tied teams have a Best of 1 match, then those players have a 1v1 Best of 1 to determine the winner. Teams get a shared prize, and the winner of the last 1v1 they have gets a small bonus.
Prizes can be whatever you want. Just make sure you get a count of allll 768 cards by the time the tournament is up!
Also, please dont be a monster and make players draft their BASIC lands. That would be brutal.
