This cube reflects my own personal tastes. I've implemented strict rules to make the cube easy to carry, give the cards a uniform appearance, speed up the game, and minimize color screw. Abilities that bounce, flicker, or recur are scarce to reduce the amount of tokens needed. The cube is focused on artifact and creature synergies, so I've cut the other nonland permanents out.
To qualify for this cube, a card must...
...have a modern card frame and be free of watermarks.
...not have two or more colored mana symbols in its mana cost.
...not have the card types enchantment, planeswalker, or battle in its type line or rules text.
...not be a modal double-faced card or be able to transform back and forth.
...not have a word in italics at the beginning of an ability (e.g., Domain, Landfall, and Revolt).
...not require you to put a counter on a player or permanent.
...not potentially create an exorbitant amount of tokens.
...not let a player search or shuffle.
...not have an upkeep trigger.
...not use outdated terminology (e.g., "comes into play", "converted mana cost", and "mana pool").
