Creativity and Power

This cube maximizes diversity without sacrificing power level. You will see many Vintage staples like Tinker or Recurring Nightmare alongside unconventional picks like Stinkweed Imp or Greater Gargadon, but I can assure you that they are all strong in this well-tested environment.

Archetypes are designed to avoid drafting ‘on rails’ and do not follow strict color pairs. This means that your stereotypical aristocrats deck might find or more enticing than based on the cards you see in your draft.

The following cards are banned:

• Seasoned Dungeoneer (and all other initiative creatures) for extreme power, degradation of gameplay, generic versatility, frustrating play patterns, and homogenization of deck identities
• Forth Eorlingas! for extreme power and generic versatility
• Otharri, Suns’ Glory for extreme power, generic versatility, and frustrating play patterns
• Atraxa, Grand Unifier for extreme power and frustrating play patterns
• Minsc and Boo, Timeless Heroes for frustrating play patterns
• Kaldra Compleat for frustrating play patterns

Extras

• All basic lands are snow lands for the purposes of snow cards.
