I first was introduced to MTG in January 2012, and it didn't take long for me to become more immersed than I could possibly have fathomed. But it was late 2014 when I discovered what has far and away proven to be my favorite format in all of Magic - this of course, is cube.
So, over my winter break that year I assembled this cube list - "Douglas's Cube" - my very first. Looking back on it still brings me much joy. It's amazing to see how far I've come since then (across almost 200 updates by summer 2020), but more importantly, it is a potent reminder for me of the beauty of this format. Since my friends and I had so much fun drafting a list that included such beauties as:
Cheers,
Laardvaark
P.S. - That Waveskimmer Aven didn't get cut until January 2016... One year after I built this thing.
P.P.S. - A couple other notably goofy inclusions over its evolution: Warden of the Beyond, Back to Nature and Vedalken Outlander.
So, as of 11/01/2020, I've elucidated my original list from page 35 of the CubeTutor DevBlogs. It is here for all of our enjoyment.
