3/2/1 Ratio DMU Set Cube

The goal of this cube is to closely replicate the retail DMU draft format in a manageable number of cards.

How to draft Traditional

• Shuffle all the cards together and deal 15 cards packs.
  • 1.97 rares or mythics per pack
  • 4.46 Uncommons per pack
  • 8.56 Commons per pack

Seeded - retail lite

• Separate in to shuffled piles
  • Rares & Mythics
  • Uncommons
  • Commons by color
• Build packs with
  • 1 Rare or mythic
  • 3 Uncommons
  • 1 Common of each color
  • 6 Random commons
    You end up with 15 card packs of 1 rare, 3 uncommons, 11 commons that guarantees 1 common of each color. Notably, retail packs have only 10 commons plus 1 basic land. You could choose to add only 5 random commons instead of 6 and draft a 14-card pack.

Some changes were necessary - many rares in the set are designed for commander or other constructed formats and are not limited playable.

Pain Lands - The pain lands often just feel bad to open. They don't contribute to domain but they do help aggressive decks access untapped colored mana.

Timeless Lotus - This artifact might not be doing enough in the cube.
