What if Magic borrowed some rules from Yu-Gi-Oh? Welcome to Dew-Gi-Oh! (at this time the Dew-Gi-Oh Cube is under construction and purely theoretical. all suggestions welcome)

The draft is 5 packs of 10 for a 40 card deck (no lands). Unlike a normal game of magic, the following rules apply:

• Players have infinite mana of each type in their mana pool, and it does not empty as steps and phases end.
• Each player may only cast one (1) creature spell per turn.
• Tribute is required for creatures above mana value 4 (all creatures with mana value 5 or 6 have "As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice a creature." all creatures of mana value 7 or greater have "As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice two creatures.")
• Instant cards have Foretell, and the Foretell cost is equal to their mana cost (although the mana rule above makes this detail irrelevant). Players may not cast instants from anywhere other than exile, unless that instant is cast using an alternate cost (for example, Force of Will may be cast from your hand only if you pay 1 life and exile a blue card from your hand).

Possible additional rules:

• Foretold cards also count as “nonland permanents” for the purposes of choosing targets and resolving effects.

• Non-instant cards with Flash have foretell, and must be cast at sorcery speed unless foretold.

• Players may have a maximum of 5 cards foretold, and control a maximum of 5 creatures. If a creature would enter the battlefield under the control of a player who controls 5 creatures, it is exiled instead. A player who controls 5 foretold cards cannot cast instants or sorceries except those foretold.

• Morph abilities cannot be activated the same turn the creature is placed face-down. Backslide gives its target morph equal to mana value if it does not already have morph (it would have errata to allow it to target any creature).

• All creature cards have morph.
