This cube is a "set" cube designed to emulate drafting a large set containing 360 different cards. It resembles a "strong" core set experience to be used as a standalone or as a companion cube to another set cube containing custom cards.
The cards in this cube are in multiples based on their rarity:
Common - 3 copies of each card
Uncommon - 2 copies of each card
Rare/Mythic - 1 copy of each card
The intended arrangement of packs is different than normal boosters. Each pack has either 8 or 16 cards depending on the number of players in the cube, and are constructed as follows:
Common - 8 of 16; or 4 of 8
Uncommon - 6 of 16; or 2 of 8
Rare/Mythic - 2 of 16; or 1 of 8
Each card in the cube has their inner sleeve marked. Each common will have their copies marked as C1, C2, and C3, and each uncommon will have their copies marked as U1 and U2. Packs are made from each same-marked pile.
For example, a 16 card pack may contain:
8 Commons marked C1
6 Uncommons marked U1
2 Rares
This ensures no duplicates among each rarity in each pack.
The intended draft experience based on player counts are as follows:
2 Player Draft - 8 or 12 8-card boosters per player (see below)
3-5 Player Draft - 6 8-card boosters per player
6-20 Player Draft - 3 16-card boosters per player
2-12 Player Sealed - 10 8-card boosters per player
For 2 players use one of following methods:
Draft with 12 8-card boosters but instead of picking one card and passing to your opponent, pick one card and "burn" one card (place it face down and to the side) then pass the remaining cards to your opponent. Once all the cards have been drafted, keep the "burned" cards off to the side.
If drafting with only 8 8-card boosters each instead of 12, after all the cards have been drafted there is a second round of drafting. Shuffle the "burned" cards and deal out 4 8-card boosters to each player and draft again. After all cards have been drafted a second time, keep the "burned" cards off to the side as normal.
