Battle Box is a quick, self contained Magic format, where everything fits in the same box and draw from the same library.

Players begin with 10 lands in the command zone - 5 snow basics and 5 allied, tapped, snow duals which can be played once a turn as usual. As a result of this, the most that a card will ever cost is and never more than 3 pips of a single color - sorry Gigantosaurus.

The starting hand size is 4 and there are no mulligans here.

Aside from this the game plays like normal and features some of my favorite cards in Magic that aren't going to cut the mustard in my primary cube :)
