Archetype descriptions below:
How it wins: by blinking creatures with enter-the-battlefield (ETB) abilities to generate a ton of value.
How it wins: by profiting from creatures dying (often its own).
How it wins: by playing aggressive creatures on curve, and killing the opponent before the game goes long. Games are often ended with burn to the face.
How it wins: just by playing good cards. (In the future I
might push for a +1/+1 counters theme, but the cards aren't there yet.)
How it wins: by killing, countering, or otherwise disrupting the opponent's game plan long enough to win through card advantage and game-ending threats.
How it wins: by playing lots of instants and sorceries, plus cards that reward you for doing so. Notably, this deck really wants spells that replace themselves like
Preordain in order to keep the ball rolling.
How it wins: by ramping up its mana production and dropping big, fat creatures.
How it wins: by playing an aggressive-leaning game, and using sacrifice outlets to close things out. Theft effects like
Furnace Reins are weak in most other decks, but premium removal in this deck.
How it wins: by playing lots of creatures, trading them off, and then getting them back from the graveyard to grind out a win.

Gruul Aggressive Midrange

How it wins: by attacking early, often, and with bigger creatures than the opponent has.
How it wins: by taking mana-fixing cards early in the draft, and then playing every powerful card it can, across all five colors!
