Inspired by playing the Unreasonable Cube at CubeCon 2022, this cube is a celebration of the wackier side of Magic. It plays similarly to powerful limited environment and strives to create a "balanced" draft environment despite the odd cards themselves. The cube breaks singleton on several cards to enable support for various archetypes. Cards from the Un sets, Mystery Playtest, and Holiday releases will all have a home here.

The goal is a 375 card Cube to support a 8 person draft of 3 packs of 15 cards with an additional 15 card pack for Lore Seeker. The 15 card packs for Booster Tutor and Summon the Pack can come from any nearby cube. If playing with a smaller group, you can start by cutting out the cards tagged with "8 players" from the list to keep the as-fan of themes relatively stable.

Cube Themes
Host/Augment

Host/Augment is a mechanic from Unstable that plays similarly to mutate or auras. Host creatures can be played just like normal and have an enter-the-battlefield ability. Any augment creature can then be played on top of any host creature to modify the creatures power/toughness and when the enter-the-battlefield ability triggers.

Primarily in g and w but spread through all colors.

Draft Matters

"Draft matters" is a name for cards from the two Conspiracy sets which care about the draft itself. This makes for a very dynamic and interesting take on an aspect of Magic unique to limited environments. Cogwork Librarian is a standout in terms of the depth that it can add to the draft experience.

Dice Rolling

Dice rolling was originally only an Un-set mechanic before coming into black-bordered Magic with Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. Look to draft a balance of dice roll enablers such as Mad Science Fair Project and payoffs such as Brazen Dwarf.

Primarily in u and r but spread through all colors.

Coin Flipping (8 Player Draft)

Look to draft a balance of cards that generate coin flips such as Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom and Okaun, Eye of Chaos and payoffs such as Chance Encounter.

Primarily in u and r but spread through all colors.

+1/+1 Counters, -1/1 Counters, and Proliferate

Look to add +1/+1 and -1/1 counters to the board and then proliferate as much as you can! Primarily in u, g, and b but spread through all colors.

Clue, Treasure, and Food Tokens

Spread throughout the colors are payoffs for Clue, Treasure, and Food tokens. Archetypes include incidental benefit of artifacts leaving the battlefield from Disciple of the Vault or benefits from specific types like Lonis, Cryptozoologist.

Mystery Booster Playtest Cards

Mystery Booster Playtest cards are even less real than other Un- cards but that doesn't mean that they aren't fun to play with. Don't let them only questionably "working" within Magic's rules stop you from trying them out in this cube.

Squirrels

Squirrels are a creature type that originally was just from Un-sets but which made the jump to black bordered Magic with Modern Horizons 2 (with another appearance as a draft archetype in Bloomburrow). Look for these in g and b.
