Introduction

This is a cube ("twobert" style) intended to teach friends how to draft (or, possibly, even Magic itself). So reducing complexity as much as possible (e.g. preferring vanilla or french vanilla creatures) is a priority, but also presenting a "complete" picture of card types and evergreen/deciduous effects (thus including planeswalkers, vehicles, etc.). Every mechanic should be explained in reminder text on every card that uses it.

I want an environment where vanilla creatures like Bear Cub, Knight of the Keep, or Fire Elemental are decent cards to have in your deck, Skeleton Archer should get you excited like in M19, and combat is focused around the 3/2 stat line.

The most common effects of the game should be represented by their respective base version (e.g. Cancel instead of any "Cancel variant").

The cube would serve as an introduction to the color pie, with its most iconic effects and "archetypes" (broadly speaking), but also as a representation of the flavor of each color (e.g. black has zombies and skeletons, white has knights and soldiers and both have lifegain but each in their own way).

Minor changes
  • Brought back Disenchant because I want the staple and that art is awesome, I won't be able to use it anywhere else.
  • Another haste creature to make red more proactive and less vulnerable to removal.
