This is a Module for the Modular Cube

When this Module is added to the cube, begin with this full Module, then add additional cards from the Core Module as necessary.

Playtest this Module combined with the Core here.

Background

After years of war between Urza and his brother Mishra, the Plane has been left nearly barren, and on a trajectory toward total apocalypse.

The remaining inhabitants survive mostly as nomads, traveling between the ever expanding deserts left behind by the war, and the arctic tundras that serve as the last remaining source of potable water.

Disease, ichor, and disfigured amorphous creatures haunt the lands that otherwise remain most hospitable to life, while hordes of undead - the restless casualties of the recent war - roam the now barren battlefields, a horrific pantomime of their former regimes. Between these two regions, massive wurms ravage the mountains and valleys.

Drafting this Module

Each drafter will get 30 cards from the Drought Module, 8 random basic lands from the basic land box, and 16 cards from the Core Module. This will be shuffled and divided into 3 packs of 18 cards. Between the two modules and the added basic lands, there should be very close to 1/3 lands in the available draft pool.

Each drafter should plan to have about 6 lands drafted per pack - much less than this and they will struggle to build a functional deck.
