This cube has been prepared for a 16 man event or 2x 8 man events. This way we can draft half the cube first and then draft the other half making sure we see all the cards. Sometimes it is just a 4 man event. The great thing if this happens, we
never see the same decks even after playing for weeks at a time.
This cube caters to a variety of different skill types and magic blocks and sets, player grew up playing.
This cube tries to put as many of the 45 cards drafted into the deck, making picks relevant. I try to run cards with as few mana symbols so it is easier to cast and splash. By doing this we have less feel bad moments where cards are stuck in hands, unable to be cast. I run a high number of lands, to almost force even novice players to draft lands.
Gold cards are not for signposts, I used to do this, but sometimes the UW drafter grew up with a set where UW was tempo and not control. By making more cards fit in more types of decks, I allow the drafter to decide what type of deck they want to play easier or be able to pivot, if they need to. I run split, adventure, hybrid to give plays more options. No storm!
