This is my attempt at the ultimate draft format, at least to my personal tastes, and with input from those who play it. I have been working on this project since late 2011, with varying degrees of effort, sucess, and setbacks along the way. The original list was sold off and lost to the depths of Cube Tutor.
Nothing is truly off the table when it comes to this project. I use singleton breaking liberally. Many cubists shun the idea, but I have personally found it to be a valuable tool for my goals. I'm not going to fault those who stay singleton, and there are valid reasons for it, but I implore you to look into it if you have not tried it.
Draft matters cards are an obvious inclusion. I include none that require notes, I wish to avoid the overhead. There are a handful of silver border and test cards I find worthy of inclusion as well. I have not yet made custom cards for the cube, but I am toying with the idea.
I want to avoid adding rules, but there is one rule I want to test and see if it fixes a problem that has been pestering me since adding Birthing Pod. I am allowing drafters to trade in thier Cogwork Librarians for two copies for a few select cards provided they have a copy already in thier draft pool. The valid cards are: Birthing Pod, Pyromancers Ascension, Hedron Alignment, and Slimes agingst Humanity. Hedron you can trade for twice, Slimes six times, Pod and Ascension only once. I'm hoping this solves several problems I have with one clean sweep.
Deciding to hold on Urza/Planet for now. Will likely introduce at a later point for a week or two. One more Valakut to make the lands deck better. Was supposed to have 2 Blade splicers in the last update, the second one arrived. Hero is very potent, maybe a hair on the too powerful side.
