A Commander Cube that promotes fun and memorable multiplayer experiences by focusing on creative deck building, synergies, on board interactions and politicking.

How to play - Preparation

How to Draft

  • Each player "opens" a pack and draft two cards out of it without showing the other players.
  • Each player then passes the remaining cards to the left, and continues drafting from the new cards they get from the player on their right.
  • After all of the cards of the first pack are distributed, each player opens a second pack, but this time, pass the second pack to the right.
  • Repeat for the third pack, passing to the left again.

Deck Building

  • Build a 60 cards commander deck using the cards you've drafted. Color ID restrictions do apply.
  • Recommended land count is between 24 to 26 lands

Cube Pick Order

During the draft, you have to pick a legendary creature to spearhead your deck as a Commander. This often leads to players trying to pick their commander early during the draft, even if it represents a strategy they're not really fond of.

To prevent these situations, here's a general pick order guide:

  1. Legendary creature that you really want to play as a commander

Every multicolored legendary creature you encounter in this cube represents a supported archetype. This cube is all about a fun experience. If you see a potential commander you really want to play or try out early in the draft, pick it and build around it. Note that mono colored commanders are not supported.

  1. Colorless, ubiquitously playable cards

There are many powerful, colorless cards that can go in almost any deck. Also, do not forget that, other than the Arcane Signet and lands every player gets provided, you need to pick up Mana Rocks and fixing during the draft.

  1. Lands

You don't need to prioritize these if you're drafting a two colored deck, but if you're going with three colored commanders, you need to pick up some fixing to build a reliable deck. I think lands like Prismatic Vista are legitimate first picks. Also don't sleep on fetch lands as they can go in many color combinations and the cube also includes many landfall effects.

  1. Mono colored, powerful cards

If everything else fails during the first couple picks of the draft, you can stay in one color and try to pick up powerful, ubiquitous cards in that color. If you stay in one color, roughly 6.5% of the cards in the cube are multicolored legendary creatures (so every 15th card is a potential commander for you) so this strategy helps you staying open towards various possible decks!
