The Space Between is a reflection on nostalgia, the loss of memory, and the struggle to construct an authentic whole. A collection of childhood jank placed next to tournament staples long forgot.

As a kid I traded spells for Swamps to improve the consistency of my Esper Theme Deck; in this desert cube basics are both hard to come by and often a strict improvement over the nonbasics. Archetypes are often half-baked, and individual oddballs may end up carrying one's deck to victory.

Historically, this cube is most concerned with the awkward, ugly middle stage of Magic's development: the early modern era. Critical stinkers like Coldsnap, Kamigawa, and Time Spiral feature heavily, with inclusions of several mechanics that land quite low on the Storm Scale. However, these were many of the cards that pulled me into the game in my youth, and I hope their charm will shine in this context.

Play Instructions
This is a true desert cube, where you must draft all your lands including basics. Draft 3 packs of 18. Cube is designed with exactly 8 players in mind, which will use all 432 cards and ensure enough lands are present.
