Welcome to my modern border cube. Modern border standing for the fact that almost all cards use the modern frame. The only card that uses the old frame (by not having other frames available) is Miscalculation.

The archetypes of this cube are sometimes a bit loose, and can be built in different color combinations. I'll simply list some examples of decks you could build in this cube:

• Red Deck Wins
• Mono Black Aggro
• Bx / Wx midrange (Orzhov, Golgari, Rakdos, Boros)
• Ux Control (Azorius, Dimir & Esper mainly)
• Mono Green / Gx ramp
• Gruul haste
• UWx blink (Bant & Esper)
• Bx Aristocrats (Rakdos, Orzhov & Mardu)
• GWx Tokens (Naya & Abzan)
• URx Spellslinger (Jeskai & Temur)
• BGx Graveyard (Jund, Abzan & Sultai)
• UGx Flash (Bant & Sultai)

The cube also has some other cards that are strong build-arounds. They usually force you into an archetype, and often that archetype can be played without that card, but they are a strong reason to do so. My intended build-around cards are:

• Staff of the Storyteller
• Thassa, Deep-Dwelling / Soulherder
• Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis / Scourge of Nel Toth
• Conspiracy Theorist / Containment Construct (these two are the only ones that don't have a proper archetype built into the cube, but it can still work)
• Wilderness Reclamation

If you pick Frantic Inventory, Rune Snag or Galvanic Bombardment, you get 3 copies of those spells instead of 1. If you pick Savannah Lions, you get 2 copies instead of 1.
