This is designed as a quicker alternative to cube, but can be drafted in a 6 player pool cube format. Games can be 1v1, but
multiplayer games are more common.
The main deck consists of 200 cards which all players will draw from. There is a 25 card non-basic land deck (cards noted in
sideboard). There are also multiple copies of each of the five color producing basic lands (I have 8 copies on hand).
This is used to provide a designed cube-like environment, but utilizing less time for drafting and deck construction. In order to
create an opportunity for multiple quick games, starting life totals are set to 15. Most cards in the deck has a CMC of 3 or less.
The game starts with each player drawing a hand of 5 cards. Then each player selects 2 of the 5 color producing basic lands. The 3
remaining basic lands are set aside and can be accessed later. Five additional cards are drawn from the top of the main deck and
placed face up in the middle.
When a player draws a card, they have the option to draw from the main deck, the face up cards, the non-basic land deck, or select
any card from the remaining basic lands.
*Additional rules of note:
Cards that reference the top of the deck can refer to the main deck or non-basic land deck, but not the face up card pool.
Cards that have drafting features trigger the 'when drafted' function when they are drawn.
