Overall, despite its historical significance, I removed a good amount of the color hosing for more generally powerful options.

I chose to remove the gates because I felt there was somewhat minimal support in the initial list and, if this is to work well for beginners, putting in something that's essentially a trap would lead to feel-bads. Instead, I opted for bounce lands for a slight power bump with cheap cards that aren't as game changing as fetches would be.
