Cloned from A love letter to Innistrad

A love letter to Innistrad,

Some years ago, as many who would be reading this did, I began to play magic, and few things have enraptured me as well as the plane of Innistrad. This cube is not a faithful recreation of any particular Innistrad draft environment, it's not even really an Innistrad cube; more of a vibe really. My cube is an homage as much as an imitation, a testimonial regarding hundreds of hours of obsession with the gothic. It is a celebration of horror, nostalgia, and the beloved tortured thing that bumps in the night. Above all else, it is a love letter to my Innistrad.

This cube is built around 10 masters style two color archetypes, though there is a goodly amount of overlap. There are the classic monster tribes, and of course the humans to die and slay and struggle against them, but foremost this is an environment obsessed with the graveyard. Flashback, self mill, reanimation, and bunches of different ways to make death matter.

Gamerule Changes:
• All DFC human werewolves are now Daybound//Nightbound, rather than their original transformation trigger.
• At the beginning of the first turn of the first player in turn order it becomes day.

This cube was intended to be used in multiplayer with my friends. I believe that allowing day//night to track from the start of game is both flavorful for innistrad, and assists in giving any werewolves a little bit of a power boost. The errata of older werewolves to work with daybound//nightbound is a functional extension of this that I'm keen to test out.

Archetypes

w-g Humans must stand together to survive the night (+1/+1 counters, Humans, Coven)

r-g The howlpack hunts in moonlight (Werewolves, Wolves, Midrange)

r-b Give yourself to the bloodlust (Vampires, Discard matters, Aggro)

u-b Master the grave with your undead minions (Zombies, Sacrifice)

w-u Spirits travel freely between this world and the other side (Disturb, auras, minor blink theme)

w-b Let's live forever (Life matters, Death triggers)

g-b An empty grave craves to be filled (Delirium, Graveyard size)

u-g Something bad happened here... (Flashback, Investigate, Artifacts)

u-r The mad scientist pursues forbidden magic (Instant & Sorcery matters, Flashback)

r-w Gather your forces at dusk to see the dawn (Aggro)

A note on organization: All off color flashback/activated abilities are not considered for the purposes of color organization. Just think of it as extra value for playing the cards in the right color combo. Color balancing that ended up not being worth it for me.

This project is no longer being updated, though it pains me to say. I keep it in posterity as a sign of love for the plane which has brought me so much joy.
