Disclaimers:
- Full size EDH Cube meant for IRL paper draft. This will take some time to draft.
- My playgroup doesn't play infinite mana or two card instant win combos.

Multiplayer Multicolored Commander/EDH Cube
This cube was designed for 4 to 8 Player drafting. Followed by any number of multiplayer EDH games. (As with any draft suggested minimum of 4 players) If you have 7-8 players I highly suggest breaking into two pods to play. One large pod often leads to the game moving very slowly and the board state getting too complex for many of the players to read. Thus players only focus on the players next to them, the ones whose boards they can easily see, and overall play satisfaction suffers.
This Cube has 3 parts to it:
- The Commander Pool
- The Main Pool.
- Starter Bundle
As implied by the EDH requirement, this is a singleton format across all the draft-able pools. The only exception is for the cards in the Starter Bundle. Each player will get a starter bundle to ensure they have some minimum color fixing and protection for their Commander.
Starter Bundle:
This cube is a pays homage to Commander's early days when it was known as Elder Dragon Highlander (EDH) by having a fair amount of "Dragon Tribal" support. There is also some other tribes represented as well. (Zombies, Vampires, Elementals, Elves, Humans, Dinosaurs, etc..) Some tribes are stronger than others.

Draft Prep:
It is highly recommended to shuffle the cube ahead of time and prepackage your packs. I use Cardamajigs to make my packs. They are great if you want to invest in your cube. You can use card baggies or Ziploc bags if you don't have these or the budget for them. This is a very large cube so it will take a while to randomize it by shuffling. Since the pool is so large and you randomly select packs there is no way to stack the draft.
Basic Deck Construction:
- Each player will need to build a 100 card deck while still adhering to the EDH deck construction rules. (Color Identity)
- Each player will receive a small Starter Bundle of 7 cards: {Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, Command Tower, Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse } This starter bundle ensures each player has at least some color fixing options available to them. The Sol Ring and Arcane Signet provide a small bit of ramp. The Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots provide protection for Commanders from all the removal available in the cube. Previous versions of this cube had one or both of the Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots in the main pool, but that lead to the Commanders just being killed very fast and only having a limited impact in the games played. Since this is a Commander Cube and I want it to play as such. I now provide these cards in the Starter Bundle so everyone at least has the option of protection.
- Basic Lands are available for deck construction: All six basic lands are available: (80 of each basic land type and 20 Wastes)
Drafting:
Round 1 - Drafting Commanders
You will draft from a pool of 120 potential multi-colored Commanders. (8 packs of 15 cards each) The purpose around drafting your Commanders first to help guide you thru the next 7 rounds of drafting. Each Player should pick one pack to draft from randomly. Set any excess packs aside if you don't have a full 8 player draft. After you complete Round 1 you should have 15 different commander cards to chose from as your commander pool. Some of the stronger original "Partner" Commanders are in the Commander Pool, but not every color pair has one so please make sure you are aware before you draft one if you are hoping to "sculpt your colors" through them. Some other "Partner" cards are in the "Main Pool" and can be paired with any other partner card to be your commanders. Thus you can draft your commanders during the main pool, but I wouldn't count on it.
**Warning!! Make sure you don't color screw yourself this early in the draft.
- You should have at least one or more Commanders in each color.
- At the end of round one you should be aware of which commanders are your top choices and what their color identities are. (Some Commanders have off color activations or are double sided cards, make sure you know your Commanders Color Identity)
- By the 3rd or 4th round you should already have a decent idea of what colors are more open to you and you can start to focus your card color choices based off of what you have already drafted and your available Commander color identities.
Rounds 2 thru 8 - Drafting the Pool
You will draft from randomized packs of 15 cards from the cube pool of 840 cards. 1 pack per player per round. Again set aside any packs you don't use if you have less than 8 players. Once done drafting you should have a pool of 127 cards of which to build your EDH deck. (105 cards from the Main Pool, 15 cards from the Commander's Pool, and 7 cards from the Starter Bundle) You must still adhere to the rules of deck building for EDH. Only using cards that adhere to your Commander's Color Identity. This is why we drafted them 1st! This helps you make decisions on what colors you want to draft around.
